Adult Sober Living Home Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a documented history of substance use disorder. Must be in recovery or actively seeking recovery.
- Completion of a primary treatment program (inpatient or outpatient) is preferred.
- Must demonstrate a willingness to engage in recovery activities, such as attending meetings (e.g., AA/NA).
- Must agree to adhere to house rules and maintain a sober living environment. - No tolerance for violence, theft, or illegal activities.
- Must be able to pay monthly fees or have a financial plan in place.
- Must not be currently experiencing severe mental health issues that could disrupt the living environment.
- Must have a support system (family, friends, sponsors) in place to assist in recovery or be willing to accept the assistance in obtaining a support system.
- Successful completion of an interview process with staff to assess fit and readiness for sober living.
- May be required to undergo a background check to ensure safety within the community. These requirements aim to create a safe, supportive environment conducive to recovery.
